The Story of La Stall... La Stall has actually been around for many years, but it wasn't until 2003 that Sofie Andersson decided to make it bigger and better. The Andersson family had already decided to move their stable just a few miles down the road from Barsebäck, Sweden to a beautiful larger coastal property outside Ålstorp, Sweden. The new La Stall is an exciting project in the works. A temporary stable has been built to house the horses while the Anderssons and a few other experienced horse experts decide just how La stall will look in the future. At the moment, there are 7 horses total on site, including 5 competition horses, 2 four-year-old geldings soon ready for competition and, last but not least, the resident shetland pony. |

Sofie Andersson is the heart and soul of La Stall. No one puts more blood, sweat and tears into every aspect of this stable than she. At only 29, Sofie already has a lengthy resumé in the equestrian field. After graduating from equestrian high school, she lived, worked and trained in Switzerland and Germany, but it wasn't till she ended up in France that she realized that was where she was meant to stay for a while. She learned a different style of lighter riding that she is known for here in Sweden today. Not that she doesn't work hard on a horse, but she teaches the horses to do a great deal of work on their own when jumping a fence instead of always needing a cue from the rider. Sofie has now begun jumping 1.50 meters and the possibilities and height are endless. |

Sofie Lindström, or Lille Sofie as we call her, started at La Stall in the summer of 2003. Although she has ridden for many years, she has become much more serious and disciplined since she started riding with Sofie. She now keeps Sofie organized in the stable and at the shows full time, and is even an award winning groom. She is the proud owner of Kiara, the resident shetland pony mare who keeps all of the other horses in line. Lille Sofie is an irreplaceable asset to the La Stall team. |
